The position is responsible for leading and enhancing the capacity of the Public Service through strategic human resources planning and forecasting. The incumbent will spearhead the development and administration of systems and procedures that ensure members of the Public Service are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary skills and competencies. This includes the formulation and implementation of curricula tailored to training needs, as well as policies that promote continuous professional development through in-service training. Key responsibilities include overseeing the modernization of Public Service training institutions, establishing an integrated framework for Public Service Training campuses under the Public Service Academy, and promoting consultancy services aimed at achieving organizational excellence. The role also involves the administration of training loan and scholarship policies, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of training programs to ensure quality service delivery.
