The Public Service Commission is inviting applications to fill the posts of 1x Director, Human Resources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and 1x Director, Human Resources the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works.
Responsibilities
Recommend the formulation and review of human capital development and management policies, regulations and strategies in the Ministry.
Conduct research and innovate on the modern human resource management and development trends with a view to keep abreast with best practices in human capital development and management
Facilitate and coordinate the identification, development, management, nurturing and placement of fit for purpose human resources in all job categories in the Ministry with the approval of the Public Service Commission
Monitor the future forecasting and predictive analytics for the Ministry’s human capital needs and ensure that these collaborate with the national imperatives or agenda for the purposes of talent management (talent acquisition, talent mobility and succession planning).
Foster compliance to principles of talent management to best practice and in line with governance and ethics frameworks.
Control, manage and account for the Employment Cost Vote for the Ministry.
Qualifications
A Degree in Human Resources Management / Occupational/ Organisational psychology/ Social Science degree plus a Diploma in Human Resources Management.
A Master’s Degree in the above is an added advantage.
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in strategic human resources development and management, two (2) of which must be at Deputy Director Level.
Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Procedures.
