Deputy Director, Monitoring & Evaluation
Position Overview
The incumbent will be responsible for recommending the review of policies and regulations for the Department to the Director,
designing and developing an appropriate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system in the Ministry
Responsibilities
Recommend the review of policies and regulations for the Department to the Director
Design and develop an appropriate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system in the Ministry
Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of Ministry projects and programmes
Coordinate the conduct of market research into factors likely to impact on the Ministry’s achievement of strategic goals
Manage the analysis of reports from the various Ministry Departments and produce reports
Develop and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research within the Ministry
Manage the development and maintenance of an updated database of all programmes and projects in the Ministry
Supervise, coach and counsel subordinates.
Qualifications
A degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics, Business Administration and Project Management or equivalent
A Masters degree in the above field(s) is an added advantage
A minimum of six (6) years relevant professional experience at Officer Level
Skills
Well-developed communication and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to employ information communication technologies in monitoring and evaluation and related decision areas
