Deputy Director, Business Development

Position Overview

Develop and execute business development policies and strategies to attract investment into the Province; Manage the identification, design and facilitation of business projects that attract investments by a combination of small, medium and large enterprises for the women, youths and other economic actors within and from outside Zimbabwe; Responsible for the identification and estimation of costs related to an investment, benefits to be obtained from an investment and the determination of the appropriateness of the investment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute business development policies and strategies to attract investment into the Province
Manage the identification, design and facilitation of business projects that attract investments by a combination of small, medium and large enterprises for the women, youths and other economic actors within and from outside Zimbabwe
Responsible for the identification and estimation of costs related to an investment, benefits to be obtained from an investment and the determination of the appropriateness of the investment
Promote the development and management of partnership arrangements and linkages with potential funders
Coordinate the implementation of marketing, business and investment attraction strategies for the Province
Coordinate research and analysis on the economic endowments and their potential within the Province in liaison with other Government Departments
Market business and investment opportunities within the Province
Oversee the conduct of market research to identify new business opportunities in the Province
Provide professional business development advice to Local Authorities and line Ministries and Departments
Collaborate with other Ministries/ Departments/ Agencies to implement economic growth strategies in the Province
Manage the development and maintenance of databases on potential and current investors in the Province
Supervise, coach and counsel subordinates.

Qualifications

A degree in Business Administration/ Business Management/ Economics or equivalent
A relevant Masters degree is an added advantage
At least 6 (six) years relevant experience in the Officer grade level or equivalent.
