Role Overview
Contribute to the formulation, implementation, and review of national ICT policies and strategies in line with the Ministry's mandate and national development aspiration; Develop, adapt and implement Information Communication Technologies, paying particular attention to technology transfer, value addition and import substitution; Establish vibrant ICT Software development strategies; Provide expert ICT assistance to Ministries, Departments and Agencies; Coordinate the evaluation for ICT projects and ICT project management services (systems design and development, user specifications documents); Manage software quality assurance; Manage research and regularly publish literate on ICT developments trends; Supervise, Coach and appraise subordinates
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Business Informatics or equivalent qualification
- Relevant higher degree in an IT related field is an added advantage
- Relevant IT related certification is an added advantage
- At least six (6) years' experience on the Officer grade or equivalent level
- Extensive knowledge of application systems development, support and maintenance
- knowledge of network and hardware platforms
- Exceptional ICT research skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to relate professionally at any level within and without the Ministry
- Strong ICT problem solving skills
- Strategic and analytic thinker
- Conscientious character
