Role Overview

Participate in the formulation, implementation and review of vehicle licenses application and issuance policies, regulations and procedures in line with the Ministry's mandate, strategic plan as well as national development imperatives; Develop strategic plans to guide the operations of the Vehicle Licenses Section at the Central Vehicle Registry; Monitor the processing of applications for Vehicle Licenses in line with the Section's standard operating procedures; Develop synergies with stakeholders and partners like Law enforcement agencies, ZINARA and other Local Authorities on the issuance and Management of Vehicles licenses; Prepare and submit statements for use by by the Law enforcement agencies in respect of Vehicle licences requirements and status thereof; Appear in Court of Law as a state witness on behalf of the Registrar on Vehicle Licenses litigation

Requirements & Qualifications

A Degree in Social Sciences/ Management or equivalent
A relevant Master's degree is an added advantage
A minimum of six (6) years relevant experience in the Licensing/ Registration Officer grade level
Knowledge of Motor Industry and Transport rules and regulations
Working knowledge of Contract Management and processes
Sound negotiating skills
Strong leadership and team building skills
