Role Overview
Contribute to the formulation, implementation and review of the Ministry's communication and advocacy policy in line with the mandate, strategic plan and national development imperatives; Manage content development for multimedia in line with local, regional and international best practices; Package communication materials, including documentaries for user Directorates; Coordinate the production of instructional audio visual material for awareness campaigns; Monitor trends and best practices in multimedia productions to inform decision making; Develop linkages with stakeholders in the media, film, publishing and music industries to develop content for the Ministry; Supervise, coach and counsel subordinates.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism/ New Media/ Public Communication/ Information Technology or equivalent
- A Master's degree in the above mentioned field(s) is an added advantage
- At least six (6) years experience in the Officer grade or equivalent
- Proven hands on experience in editing, canning and packaging multimedia material
- Knowledge of the film, music and publishing industries an advantage
- Leadership and project management skills
- Must be able to work in a work in a production environment
- Must have technical awareness of broadcast/ production/ IT environment
- Must be a self starter and ready to work for long hours.
